MISSION TRIPS
Is God calling you?
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’
Acts 13:47
If you have a church, organization or a group of friends that’d like to be part of a short-term mission trip in El Salvador, or even if you are an individual that will want to join another team, you can do it through His Children. We are also accepting individual long and short-term missionaries. We will help you build a basic budget so you can do your own fundraising to come and serve with us. We have also helped several other families and missionaries to move here and serve in El Salvador. We are always in need of medical missions and any other skill you may have to work with the communities and orphanages where we serve.
Here at His Children / Sus Hijos we love to serve with others, we understand how tough it can be sometimes, we know it is challenging and sometimes you might not be sure of taking that leap of faith and letting yourself be guided by God. But what we know for sure is that if you ever come down to help us here in El Salvador you’ll experience more than just a trip, more than just a new place. You’ll have a life changing experience; because it’s hard to realize the level of poverty there is in this world, to realize the needs that these people have…specially, the need of being loved.
But as a Christian organization, we believe that everything we do has a purpose: Share the love of God with His children and let them know that there is hope through Jesus Christ. I can assure you that there will not be a day when you won’t have a story or testimony to share with others, every single day while you’re here in El Salvador helping us it’s different and has a different message from GOD to speak to your life. You’ll never regret it plus you will be able to share that with others who are willing to join us and be part of this awesome family of missionaries.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10
You can help us visit the orphans in the centers, give food packages to communities and the homeless on the streets and remind them that there is someone who’s always taking care of them and looking for them and loves them like no one else. You can mark someone’s life by just listening to them, sit with them and talk with them, they don’t always need huge things, sometimes they just need someone to talk to and be able to share their story with.
Keep in mind, if you come down to El Salvador. You are here to serve, we will always be working in something, preparing stuff for the next day even when the previous one might have been a super tiring day. Don’t stay back, they all need you, we need you.
Somedays we might be teaching the bible to a lot of kids in an orphanage, other day we might be building a house during the day under the sun (stay hydrated by the way) and at night we will be preparing food to feed the homeless. This is a ministry this is His Children / Sus Hijos.
Everything we do as an organization is thanks to God especially, but also the awesome work done by our fantastic teams and volunteers who are part of our family of His Children / Sus Hijos Foundation. During the year we receive different teams from the United States and Canada who come to work with us and be part of all the activities we do as an organization in El Salvador.
Our teams can either be part of our daily activities with CBS Bible Study we have during the week and make special things with them or You can also build houses for families in El Salvador, feed the homeless, have parties in the centers we work with, or do as many other creative things that can help build relationships and make a difference to the orphans.
Every time teams are here, we also have an amazing group of translators that during the year when we have no teams, they volunteer to all different activities we do.
You can be a part of us as a long-term missionary, volunteer, or as a translator. You can also join one of the teams that come help us on a mission trip.
