ABOUT US
Quiénes somos.
Sus Hijos is a registered NGO (non profit / 501 C-3) which implements projects used to serve the orphaned and abandoned children in the government and private orphanages.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that the Bible is the word of God. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross to forgive us of our sins. We believe in the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Trinity. We believe that God can do anything through prayer. We believe in Grace.
WHAT WE DO
Our goals is to love, give hope and minister to orphaned and abandoned children in private and government orphanages of El Salvador, by meeting their spiritual and physical needs.
UPCOMMING MISION TRIPS
Orphanages we minister in
We work in many centers and orphanages, There are more than 75 special need children under the age of 18, some children with HIV. Some of the kids do get physical and are strong. They are so full of love and no expectations. Needs are: clothing all sizes, Bibs, shoes, underwear, socks, onesies pajamas, soccer balls, baby wipes, etc.
Transition Homes
Sus Hijos has two separate transition homes; Forest of Peace for teen boys and Potters Hand for teen girls. Each home is staffed with 2 adults: a Spanish speaking Salvadorian and a North American. The purpose of this is to improve the English skills of the teenagers and the children in the transition homes that come from the centers where we volunteer frequently.
House Building
In 2009 we started building homes in the rural communities of El Salvador to make a difference in the Childrens lives who families have lost custody of their children because of poverty, to restore families and keep them together.
Feeding the Homeless
We feed prostitutes, children, old people and anyone who needs it. We don't hold back. You shouldn't either. This is a tough ministry. We do not have any food or housing programs in El Salvador. When a person gets to this point in life it is hard to get out of it.
Cosmetology School
The cosmetology program, born in the heart of our founder, was named to honor his mother. Her salon, “You are someone special”, was named after the phrase she always used when evangelizing.
Culinary Program
The purpose of this program is to locate youth between the ages of 16 to 22 at risk youth who will be aging out of ISNA care and protection and interested in culinary skills. Our desire is to provide these youth with the basic training in restaurant skills, cooking and baking.
